Relationship troubles? I can help.
When things aren't going well with your spouse, lover, child, friend, or boss, nothing feels right. Not only does your relationship suffer, but all aspects of your life can become more difficult to deal with. Moreover, you may feel anxious, depressed, angry, or numb. It can seem like your whole world is under a dark cloud. You are suffering and so are those around you.
Past Trauma? I can help.
Sometimes traumas and stresses in our lives are obvious, as when a loved one dies or we exposed to a traumatic event, such as war, natural disaster, or rape. Other traumas are more subtle, such as those that can result from growing up in a family where your needs weren't met in a way where you felt understood and loved. Either type of stress or trauma can result in more problems if not healed, even contributing to or causing physical illness or symptoms.
You can change the way you feel with psychotherapy!
Often we read self-help books, ask others for advice, or try affirmations in an effort to help ourselves, only to find we are stuck with the same old problems. Psychotherapy is different than any of these things. First of all, I will be sitting in the same room with you, giving you my full presence, attention, and understanding. Secondly, often our problems are influenced by parts of us out of the realm of our conscious awareness (otherwise, we'd all be perfect from applying the mental insights and advice from books and friends!). I will use approaches I think will work for you in the quickest, most effective manner. I will include methods to get to parts of you that you are likely not fully aware of that are preventing you from breaking free of your problem.
